"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you". -Maya Angelou

What do you want your legacy to be?

I want my legacy to be one of kindness, passion, and determination. I want to be remembered as someone who challenged injustice-- Challenged the status quo by living transparently and truthfully. My truth rests within my biracial, queer identities. My expression rests on my evolving capacity to envision my core self and my eagerness to enable her to shine. My legacy rests atop all that I am and all who have helped to create me.

Who do you think best embodies Black excellence?

Donald Glover is, in my eyes, modern Black excellence. He never ceases to explore an artistic medium through which to create. He is a lyricist, rapper, singer, producer, actor, writer, and comedian. For him to write, produce, and star in his own original TV series (Atlanta) shows me such a commitment to expression that I have never before witnessed. He is a role model who makes me excited to live.
